

FlameShield Fire Rated Roller Shutter
DESCRIPTION
A steel roller shutter door, available in electrical operation or manual operation, Available in 1/2 hour rating, 1 hr or 2hr upto 4hr rating. A fire shutter is designed to close in the event of a fire, it can be linked into a fire alarm system or to a fusible link
Successfully tested to BS 476 part 22:1987 at the Warrington Fire research centre.
These shutters have assesed designs that allow manufacture in size up to 7 metres x 7 metres.
Available in ratings up to 4 hour fire resistance.

CURTAIN
Constructed from 74mm wide curved interlocking galvanised steel lath with steel endlocks and galvanised T-Section bottom rail.
BARREL
Constructed from mild steel tube with Helically wound counter balance springs mounted on mild steel bright shaft, with mild steel bearing blocks at each end incorporating high speed bearings. Tube and shaft size are dependent upon shutter size.
COIL CASINGS
Top suit end plate dependent on size from galvanised 0.9mm sheet upwards. Slotted for expansion to suit fixings.
OPERATION
Operation is by one of the following:-
- Spring Assisted
- Hand Chain
- Electric Motor, connected to a fusible link.
ELECTRICAL OPERATION
By means of ½ - 2 H.P. geared motor complete with rotary limits and emergency hand chain mechanism..
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
240 volt 1-phase, or 415 volt 3-phase (additional information available on request).
CE MARKING
All electrically operated shutters are CE marked to comply with the Health and Safety Machinery at Work Directive.
FINISH OPTIONS
As standard galvanised curtains, side guides and coil casing, with black painted angles and end plates. However, to complement the aesthetics of buildings, this product can be provided powder coated to any BS or RAL colour.
